The Tag Sphere Smartlet displays a three dimensional Tag Cloud.
Individual tags are displayed as regular hyperlink elements. All tags are distributed evenly over the surface of a sphere. The sphere is projected onto the display plane by means of a perspective transformation. As a tag is positioned further into the distance, away from the viewer, the font size is decreased and the text color is gradually blended with the background color.
The user may rotate the sphere and scroll any tag into view by hovering the mouse over the sphere.The direction and speed of the rotation depends on the position of the mouse cursor with respect to the center of the sphere. Rotation stops when the mouse centers the sphere. The link in front can now easily be clicked.
