Nice use of Ajax. This Smartlet has a smooth UX and can serve as a templste for other Smartlets reading and processing external XML data. Just connect to another XML feed, adapt some XSLT and you have your new Smartlet reading, integrating and displaying content from out of space.

There are plety of examples of displaying radar images available at http://gratisweerdata.buienradar.nl/#buienradara. I didn't find enough challenge in rendering a simple iframe or href :)

Yes, I know, but what I was thinking about, since your using xslt to display some xml, why not use xslt to transform the source of the iframe to your own site-layout, since an iframe is not really webguidelines compatible?
